I made these as an appetizer on thanksgiving, the first batch was gone before I could even try one! I ended up having to make a double-batch of the bread-crumb mixture, not sure what happened there? I used mini-muffin tins, so maybe I went overboard w/the breading?

Definately making again, for my SIL's baby shower in a few months...these seem like they would store well to be able to take to the shower and re-heat. Thanks for the recipe!

You selfless soul! I have a friend who cannot get enough crab cakes; they are honestly his request at any celebration. I'll be making these for him.

I am just going to pretend that they are (beautiful) stuffed tomatoes, which is kind of what they look like from the top.

Oh, crab cakes are one of my FAVORITE things! I am hosting a holiday party next month. I am planning on serving heavy hors d'oeuvres and am already planning my menu. This will have to be included!

The cream cheese and sour cream sound interesting in these, and I always like a little lemon zest in a crab or fish cake. I can see why they disappear so quickly!

Mmmmmmm these sound yummy. I love that they can be made ahead and that they don't require an entire pound of lump crabmeat. Thanks for sharing!

I *love* crab, and those are just about the prettiest crab cakes I've ever seen! I still eat seafood occasionally, but rarely cook it at home anymore. Maybe I can convince someone else to make these this year...

Dana,
I made these in the summer, and everyone loved them.
I am not a big fan of crab, but I got raves from the crowd.
I forgot about this recipe, and am glad you reminded me!
